It did not work for me at all, 2008-07-10
I followed the directions exactly as printed on the bottle. My weight has not changed one bit. What a disappointment.

Increase in energy, but to be effective must be combined with..., 2008-07-06
I did feel a nice boost in energy when using TwinLab Ripped Fuel Metabolic Accelerator. However, to effectively lose weight and gain muscle tone this would need to be combined with a proper diet (adequate protein) and exercise plan.
The good thing is that this did give me that extra boost to not feel so tired at the end of the day so it was easier to get on the treadmill and make some healthy choices for dinner.
All of the ingredients in this product I had used before, but taking a handful of pills can put a real damper on dietary supplementation, so this product helped to uncomplicate my complicated diet. The small bottle fits easily into my desk drawer or purse and although I can smell the cayenne in the tablet, it's not offensive in any way.
If I could make one suggestion to TwinLab it would be to make this a 30 day supply (60 tablets) rather than a 20 day supply. I seem to run out faster than I can remember to re-order.

Ok for what it is, 2008-06-18
This is an ok product...Understanding that the Twinlab's Ripped Fuel is not a diet plan, nor is it a substitute for the gym. You need to be spending time training to see results. It does what it says, more efficiently uses calories without overloading you with caffeine. I didn't notice any exceptional results, but like other health pills or vitamin sups, you use them to put the odds in your favor of increasing your health. This product seems less risky than other metabolic enhancers that use chromium picolinate, which could have more side effects than this product.
If, taken in the late evening it, may cause sleeplessness, but as you are to take one daily, before eating, you shouldn't eat hours before sleeping anyway. I suggest a pre-lunch dose. I haven't had any problems to speak of while using this product, it has caused any stomach problems for me, which was a major concern of mine after using other "burners" containing chromium picolinate caused severe abdominal cramping. I've had no ill effects to report.
I'm satisfied with the product, although I would not rule out experimenting with some other brands and variations.

No difference, 2008-05-16
It is very hard to review a product such as this one. Can I say I noticed a difference by taking this product? No not really. The product does not live up to its title.

Intensified alertness, but also jitters & no discernible Hulk'ness :(, 2008-04-17
Have you ever been so tired that you frantically slammed back a bit more coffee or espresso drinks than your body was ready for? Sure, you got a jolt of alertness, but along with that, you may have also felt a bit jittery, maybe even a bit short of breath.
That about defines how I felt after taking these pills.
Let me take a step back for a moment and first tell you a bit about myself so you can understand where I'm coming from. I'm a medium-sized guy (about 5'7" and 158 pounds), moderately in-shape, and used to having occasional cups of coffee or shots of espresso (averaging about 150mg caffeine a day -- about one strong coffee-worth). While taking these TwinLab pills, I avoided drugs that would contribute to alertness/jitteryness (like Sudafed), and also didn't make any substantial changes in my diet or exercise pattern.
Speaking of exercise, I am generally involved in aerobic activities for about 2-5 hours a week, and typically lift weights about once a week for around 40 minutes straight.
But enough about me... here are some of my experiences with these pills:
THUMBS UP:
- Definitely boost my alertness and my mood, and seemingly in a more powerful and sustained way than coffee. This was certainly an unexpected side effect!
- Didn't cause any stomach discomfort, and my stomach can be kind of sensitive.
THUMBS DOWN:
- Gave me the jitters... similar to when I've had two very strong cups of coffee in a row or slammed down a huge espresso drink quickly. This was particularly noticed when I had one pill with breakfast and another, 4-6 hours later, with lunch.
- I even felt a bit short of breath. Nothing too awful and certainly not painful or even particularly worrisome, but occasionally a bit uncomfortable.
- Didn't notice any difference in weight, muscle density or size, or pretty much anything else appearance-wise.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS:
- Pills go down pretty easily with no horrid smell or aftertaste.
- I'm thinking that perhaps if I had intensified my weightlifting, I'd have seen some results. Perhaps these pills really don't work for folks who just do occasional weights.
* * *
All in all, I think I'd probably recommend these pills to folks who are bigger into weightlifting or who need or crave sustained alertness, but I don't plan on buying another batch to test on myself.
